Overseas Research Center Fellowships
Each Center offers fellowships, grants, and language and cultural programs specific to its region. Centers also offer a number of additional opportunities.
Video: An Introduction to CAORC
The Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) is a private not-for-profit federation of independent overseas research centers that promote advanced research. We foster international scholarship by providing fellowships, grants, faculty development, and more.
Overseas Research CENTERS
American overseas research centers promote international scholarly exchange through sponsorship of fellowship programs, foreign language study, collaborative research projects, and more.
CAORC offers two fellowship programs, the CAORC- NEH Research Fellowship and the Multi-Country Research Fellowship, which allow fellows to visit and carry out research within our network of Overseas Research Centers.
Supported by the JM Kaplan Foundation, Responsive Preservation Initiative grants support the urgent preservation, documentation, and site management efforts at cultural heritage sites around the Middle East, North Africa, and the Mediterranean.
Faculty Development Seminars help faculty at community colleges and minority-serving institutions gain the requisite first-hand experience needed to develop and improve international curricula.
