Dr. Tom Davis, the Director of the Cyprus American Archaeological Research Institute (CAARI) met with Mr. Tassos Papadapoleus, The President of the Republic of Cyprus, at the Bastille Day reception hosted by the French Ambassador to Cyprus, M. Hadelin de La Tour-du-Pin. The Ambassador described CAARI as “researching everything, but particularly archeology” and concluded the introduction by saying “here, even Americans speak French!”
