The American Institute for Yemeni Studies (AIYS) recently published “From the Queen of Sheba to the Republic of Yemen: K-12 Resource Guide and Classroom Ideas.” Written by Marta Colburn, with help from AIYS, this resource serves as a classroom guide about the history of Yemen. The guide was written in part because of the nearly complete absence of classroom resources on Yemen. With help from the Middle East Studies Association of North America, copies of the book have been distributed to classrooms nationwide. The guide was prepared and published with the assistance of grant funds from the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA).
