H. L. Seneviratne, board member of the American Institute for Sri Lankan Studies (AISLS) and Professor of Anthropoogy at the University of Virginia, gave an invited lecture on Buddhist monks in Sri Lankan politics at Dartmouth College on April 27, 2005. Among the audience of Dartmouth students, alumni, and faculty was former US ambassador to Sri Lanka, Howard Wriggins.
