Deborah Winslow,
a recipient of the 2003 American Institute for Sri Lankan Studies
(AISLS) fellowship, just released a book, entitled “Economy,
Culture, and Civil War in Sri Lanka.” Along with fellow
editor Michael D. Woost, Winslow compiled writings by anthropologists,
sociologists, and other scholars on the war torn society with
such topics as the impact of long-term conflicts on employment
prospects for rural and urban youth. |
