Lectures on Ancient Egypt Attract Large Groups of Israelis, Palestinians and Foreign Archaeologists in Jerusalem
Over 600 scholars and students attended the three lectures given by Dr. James P. Allen, the Wilbour Professor of Egyptology at Brown University and associated events, which were part of the Trude Dothan Lectureship in Ancient Near Eastern Studies held annually in Jerusalem, sponsored by the W. F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research, and endowed by the Dorot Foundation. The lectures were given under the auspices of Al-Quds University, the Hebrew University and the Albright Institute. The subjects included “The Advent of Ancient Egyptian Literature”; “The Recently-Discovered Historical Inscription of Khnumhotep at Dahshur” and “Tutankhamun’s Father.”
